Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles

Sit the real thing before you sit the real thing.

Fifty questions, one at a time, no going back, two minutes a question and a hard sixty-minute ceiling, the same shape as the exam the state gives you. Every answer here traces back to a page of the Official Florida Driver License Handbook, which is the only place the state draws its questions from.

The 50 questions, the 40 needed to pass, one question at a time and the 60-minute limit are the state's own rules; running out of time counts as a fail. There is no clock on single questions. Ending early at 40 right or 11 wrong is how the state's approved providers describe the same testing system.

Start a session

Pick how strict you want it.

Exam date

Optional. With a date set, Today's review keeps each gap to about a fifth of the time left, which is where the research puts the sweet spot, so nothing is forgotten by exam day.

Ask the handbook sends your question, your language, the recent chat, a summary of your practice and any voice recording through our server to Anthropic (answers) and ElevenLabs (speech). Nothing is stored. Switch this off to withdraw: the tutor then asks again before the next question. The rest of the page never goes online.

Pace

Your browser does the speaking, offline. It reads the question, pauses, then reads the four answers with a pause between each one. It never names a sign, because that would give the answer away. The real exam narrates only its own instructions, not the questions, so treat this as a study aid rather than a rehearsal.

Tap a word to translate it

The exam is in English, so the questions and answers stay in English here too. Key driving terms get a dotted underline; tap one to see it in your language, so the English words become familiar before the exam. Off during the timed exam modes, which have no such help in real life.

Readiness

Take a session to start tracking. Readiness weighs your recent accuracy against how much of the bank you have actually seen.

Drill one topic at a time

Fifteen questions, explained as you go, no clock.

About the source material

Questions and answers are written from the Official Florida Driver License Handbook (rev. 08/2023, the current edition) and its published Study Guide Answer Locations, which map the state's 84 study-guide questions to handbook pages. Handbook page numbers are cited on every answer. This is a study tool, not a state-authorised exam. Passing here does not produce a score with FLHSMV. Read the handbook alongside it: flhsmv.gov. The tutor's answers are written by an AI model and can be wrong; check the page they cite. This is a study aid, not legal advice. Privacy policy.

Every sign you see here is the official sign design, not a redrawing. US sign faces are specified in the federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices and are public domain as works of the US federal government; the vector renderings come from Wikimedia Commons, each under a public-domain tag. Pavement markings, signal indications and the intersection scenes are drawn as diagrams, because there is no sign face to copy. The handbook illustrates them the same way.
